Stanley Kubrick’s Napoleon

We’ve got one of these:

Ours is a library discard: there’s a little sticker residue on the bottom of the spine, and the front endpaper has a small tear at the bottom.  The rest of the book is in excellent condition, though.  We’re asking less than a third of Amazon’s price, and we’re willing to negotiate a little.

The story goes that Kubrick had a wicked man-crush on Napoleon and, convinced that no one had ever made a decent historical movie, wrote one for him.  Napoleon–and his ego–would have been pleased.  Thus far, however, no one else has been all that pleased by the script: it’s Kubrickesque and not for the faint-of-heart.

So, if you’re a Kubrick fan, a Napoleon fan (you, too?) or just want to read a really massive book with , come fetch this one from us.

Contact or come visit us at Mississauga Central Library on Wednesdays or Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
